The Deacons of Memorial Baptist Church are ordained in accordance with direction found in the Bible, God’s Holy Word.

The Music Ministry of Memorial Baptist Church is centered in worship. Focused on opportunities to support and enhance worship services, the Music Ministry seeks to serve the church in numerous venues including seasonal presentations and special events.

Welcome to the music ministry of Memorial Baptist Church where we’re more than music ─ we’re family! This mantra has been at the heart of our music ministry for almost twenty years. As we seek to lead worship, we do so understanding that God brings us together each week as dedicated servants who pray, plan and participate in leading worship as a team. The Worship Center Choir leads this experience and is supported by the Orchestra, Ensembles, Soloists, the Hand Bell Ministry and the Audio/Visual Ministry Team.

Children’s Choir provides musical education and learning about God’s love for us through songs that preschool age through sixth grade children enjoy.

The Children's Music Ministry welcomes volunteers to assist children in learning new songs and help during rehearsals. Children’s Choir meets for rehearsals on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. during school year.

The purpose of our Greeters Ministry is to make members and visitors feel welcome as they arrive for Sunday School. First impressions are very important. Our greeters are the first people newcomers come in contact with, and it is their pleasure to welcome and direct people who are new to our church campus.

The Ladies Ministry of Memorial Baptist Church is designed to reach women of all ages and walks of life. It is an important part of the total church ministry as it seeks to glorify God, create fellowship and relationships, provide spiritual growth and help women to find a comfortable environment. The ultimate purpose of the Ladies Ministry is that women might become “one in Christ.”

The purpose of our Ushers Ministry is to make members and visitors feel welcome as they enter the Worship Center for Sunday services. Our ushers hand out the worship folders and any special handouts.

Noah’s Ark is our preschool ministry which serves children from birth through kindergarten. The Bible is taught in a creative, fun way so that the child is eager to learn more.

Our volunteers shepherd the hearts of children by using songs, puppets, games and crafts that compliment their Bible lessons. Our desire is to help parents with the spiritual education of their child as they walk through the different stages of life.

The children's ministry at Memorial provides children (1st through 4th graders) with Bible learning experiences and activities to help them grow spiritually. We offer special Sunday worship services for children, as well as outstanding on- and off-campus activities throughout the year.

Memorial's preteen ministry is a division of the children’s ministry. The preteen program —designed for students in the 5th and 6th grades— focuses on strengthening their relationships with God and others, as well as targeting new issues that preteens face as they make the transition to becoming youth.

"Awana" is the leading ministry to help local churches reach children and youth with the gospel and train them to know, love and serve Christ. Nearly 12,000 U.S. churches and more than 4,000 churches overseas run the Awana program, and the list is growing.

Our Awana Clubs blend Bible teaching and Scripture memorization with tons of fun. We invite your children —infants through the 6th grade— to join us. Our Awana Club ministry takes place on Sunday nights from 4:30 P.M-6:00 P.M. during the school year. Vacation Bible School is a yearly activity at MBC, scheduled for one week in the summer. Children, 4 years through sixth grade, experience a time of age-appropriate Bible Studies, interactive learning games, crafts, music and snacks centered around a yearly theme to promote a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

Memorial’s ministry to high school and middle school students offers several opportunities for youth to grow strong in our Lord Jesus Christ through Bible Study, Worship, Mission Trips, Youth Camps, Discipleship Weekends, Service Opportunities, activities and fellowships. A combination of Bible Study, Worship, Fellowship and Ministry intent on being authentic for God and one another. This ministry focuses on meeting the needs of college students and young adults between the ages of 18-24 years of age. Volunteer ministry opportunities include Inreach and Outreach Leaders, and Prayer Partners.

Memorial Baptist Church began over 76 years ago and our Senior Adults have always been an active part of its Ministry. Our purpose is to provide Christian love and fellowship, and grow in a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and others. We are very active and on the go.

Our Sunshine Club, for those 55 plus years of age, meets the 2nd Thursday of each month to play games, fellowship, hear guest speakers, and have great pot-luck lunches. We also are busy taking trips in Houston and surrounding areas.
